It was a good thing that I had two five-hour flights involved in New York Toy Fair. Because this book was really long and would've taken me the whole year to finish in my 'real life'. It was highly enjoyable - I definitely recommend to my reader friends. Those with frequent long flights especially.
Before Christmas, Jake helped Abigail enter the PTA Art programme. She made a little book: 'The Adventures of Abigail and Fwaffe' (her giraffe). It was submitted for the Kindergarten to Second Grade category and our little smarty-pants WON! She won the award for Outstanding Interpretation and her artwork went on to be submitted to the District. Grandma flew out for her Award Ceremony (we just heard there will be another one for this - Grandma, want to come again?)
So proud of my talented little monkey!
In February I got to do the 'Salesman' bit and help show off my company's products at Toy Fair 2013. It's the biggest (domestic) tradeshow for the toy industry. A ton of fun but a TON of hard work! I don't know how people who regularly travel for work do it. I missed my kids sooooo much. As well as my sleep.
The night I got home was Valentines Day. Which was perfect timing. I shared a Papa Murphys heart-shaped pizza with my loves - all three of them. Took a shower, unpacked and slept fourteen hours in my own bed.
OK, so I'm going back to Jan 5th with this post. It will be the first time ever that I let my Blog go out of chronological order. And if you know how OCD I can be, then you know that drives me nuts!
But here's what I did to ring in the New Year. A new do! What do you think?
Jake has fixed the phone/camera/laptop/Android/Blogger/pull-my-hair-out computer situation! So I am here to post a boat-load of pictures. Not too many words - just the pictures to make sure I catch up to May. MAY! Can you believe it's already May tomorrow?
